Random Drabble..

Just a bit of a story I'm writing........not sure yet if I'll continue it or not..

Forever sixteen
By Krystal A. Walsh

.....

.....He held my limp hand against his cheek. He’d forgotten to shave, and I almost smiled, but then his wet eyelashes brushed my fingertips. I felt his tears drip gently onto my hand, and tears began to slide down my own face once again.
Would I ever see those eyes again? Those deep blue eyes that seemed to stare into my soul, so gentle, loving, comforting. And those long dark eyelashes that every girl was jealous of. Memories flooded my mind of the fun times we had, when he let me put makeup on him, and I let him do mine. He was absolutely terrible at it. Oh silly boy…how much I missed him.
I felt him lean over, and he kissed my forehead. Then gently dropping my hand back onto the cold sheets, he brushed away the tears on my face with a warm hand.
I heard footsteps cross the floor, and the door closed. I was alone again.......

Generation Joshua

My First Starbucks coffee EVER <3

So, I’m back from a long week of campaigning in Los Angeles. We woke up at around 6-7 AM, got ready eat breakfast, got coffee (I went to Starbuck for the first time in my life whooo!)  and then had to be ready to get on a bus (the buses were awesome!) at 8:15 to go to campaign headquarters where we got our assignments for the day.
One of our Epic buses :)
From about 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM (with a break for lunch) we were out walking through neighborhoods, knocking on doors, encouraging people to vote, and doing literature drops. Then it was back to campaign headquarters for dinner, a group meeting, then an hour or two of phone banking. Then it was back to the hotel, and lights out by 11:00 PM.
Tony Strickland for Congress!
In 4 days our group of around 50 people knocked on between 9,000-10,000 doors and called between 4,200-5,000 people. We all were totally exhausted by the end, but we were pretty happy with what we’d done. However on Election Day everyone’s nervous excitement turned to disappointment as we heard the results. Not only had Romney lost, our candidate that we were working for, Tony Strickland, who was running for Congress, had lost too. We worked so hard, and in the end it seemed like it was all for nothing. But I don’t believe it was completely for nothing.

I learned a lot on the Student Action Team. I can use a map now (haha!), I am now completely comfortable with calling strangers on the phone, and knocking on doors, whereas before this I was terrified at the thought of it! I met lots of wonderful people there as well. Our amazing team leaders from Patrick Henry College in VA, and lots of other teens from all over California. They were so friendly, and were always making me laugh and smile.
Good Friends :)
Our Amazing Team leaders!

Yes, we had people slam doors in our faces, hang up on us, yell mean things at us, and refuse to speak to us, but when you’re with friends even that can seem funny. We made so many memories, and I was always looking forward to hearing everyone’s funny stories at the end of the day.
Being part of Generation Joshua also showed me just how much a group of teens can do. I mean yeah, I’d heard about teens making a difference before, but it wasn’t until I was actually out there doing things with a group of determined, energetic teens that I realized just how much we could do!  Even though our candidate didn’t win, we made it a very close race, and I know if we continue to be active, and get our friends to join us, we can definitely change election results next time!

On election night, when we had our group meeting, it was a room full of glum faces. I found it just so sad that we were all sitting there, depressed over the election results, while the homeless guys outside the hotel were celebrating Obama’s re-election.  But what as our team leader said, God knows what he’s doing. He doesn’t just wake up on Election Day and say “What! How did he get elected?” Even if our Candidates lost, God did NOT lose! He’s in control and He has a plan, even if we don’t understand it.

I read an article today that I really found interesting.  If Romney had been re-elected, we might all have just gone back to our own normal lives, feeling safe and secure. We wouldn’t have to worry about the HHS mandate, and Obamacare and we would hope the government would reduce the amount of abortions.

But now that Obama has been re-elected, we can’t just sit back and relax. One good thing that has happened as a result of all Obama has done, is that he’s done more to get the Catholic Church to unite than anything else in the past 50 years. He’s got every Catholic Bishop to stand against him, and even the Evangelical Christians are starting to unite and stand against him.  Maybe God doesn’t want us to sleep, maybe he wants us awake and ready to defend our Faith and our Country.

Dear God, Love Tris (story snippet)

     Dear God, Love Tris
~Krystal Annaliese Walsh

Sitting at the desk was a tall, pleasant looking dark haired man. He stood up and greeted the kids as they walked in.
“Welcome! I’m Mr. Rose, Jace’s father. Please sit down!”
Josh and Louie quickly sat down in the big comfy chairs, leaving Cam, Jace and Tris standing.
“Hey! Boys…give your sister a chair!”  Cam said teasingly to Josh and Louie.
“No its fine, they can sit there, I don’t mind standing.”  Tris reassured him, smiling shyly.
Captain Rose chuckled softly, then was about to speak, when a walkie-talkie on his desk beeped.
“Pardon me one minute while I answer this.” He said turning and picking it up. He pressed a button and suddenly Tom’s voice came on.
“Captain Rose! It’s Tom—you’ll have to leave without us! There’s people everywhere! Guards and police! There’s no way you can pick us up now without us all being caught!”
Captain Rose’s face grew very serious as he answered.
“We’ll have to leave now, Tris, Josh and Louie are here and safe, we’ll take them to Italy. Tom, make sure you all stay together, don’t let them catch you.  Get out of the city as soon as you can and hide somewhere. I’ll send Mark to find you, and we will come back to get you guys.”
“Ok, will do” Tom answered. “Is Tris there?”
“Yes she is.” Captian Rose beckoned for Tris to come closer.

Tris did, her face rather pale.
The room fell silent as a different voice came on.
“Tris—it’s Remi.”
Tris’s heart practically stopped.
“I know you aren’t going to want to leave without us, but you have to. We’ll get there soon—“
The speech stopped for a moment, and became static. Then it returned.
“—it’ll be okay Tris. Be strong. I love you.”
“Remi..no..no..no!”  Tris could barely speak with the tears running down her face.
“Oh Trissy…don’t cry please…it’ll be alright, I promise!” Karl answered her, his voice hoarse.
“…….I love you…stay safe!” Tris whispered back.
“Tris!”  Abigail’s voice now came through, also sounding tearful and scared.
“Abi darling! I love you too! Be brave! I’ll see you soon!”  Tris answered trying to sound a little more optimistic for her friend’s sake.
“We have to go now, they’re coming closer.” Tom now said his voice hushed.

The walkie-talkie beeped, signaling end of the call.
More like the end of the world.

Jason’s father was busy discussing things with Mark in hushed tones. Everyone else was silent. Josh, and Louie just stared at each other in disbelief.

Tris stood still in shock, she couldn’t believe this was happening…She couldn’t breath, choking back heartbroken sobs. Suddenly everything swirled around her and went black.

Cameron who had been watching Tris and wondering how to comfort her, saw her faint.
“Jace!”
Jason who was standing next to Tris, staring at his dad, turned at Cam’s voice and barely managed to catch the girl before she fell to the ground.

Echo (Story Snippet)

Echo

Prologue~
The night was dark and misty as a tall, slender woman ran through the streets, hugging a tiny infant close to her chest.  Ahead the bright gold dome, and tall cross of St. Anne’s Catholic Church loomed in the darkness, sparkling slightly through the mist in the moonlight. She slipped through the door of the church, hurrying down the dark aisle all the way up to the alter where she bowed gracefully, making the Sign of the Cross. Then, looking around quickly, she stepped up the steps and crouched behind the alter. She laid the infant on the ground behind the alter and, slipping a small silver notebook, and a handwritten note inside the blankets, she wrapped the baby up warmly.
“Shhh…my darling…you will be safe here, and mommy will be back soon.”  The woman sighed, oh how she hoped it would be true. The child looked back at her with the smallest smile, as if assuring her mother that’d she’d be fine, then her eyes closed and she fell asleep. With a final kiss on her baby’s forehead, the woman slipped back out into the night.

My Name is Sophia Adriane Callahan, I’m an only child to two, fairly wealthy but very loving parents and I’m really just your normal, 16 year-old, semi-shy, preppy, straight-A, high-school student. An ordinary teenage girl living in a big house right on Manhattan Beach California. Or at least that’s what I thought.  It all started this summer; I was taking a summer school course to earn extra credits so I could graduate high school early. It was the last week of summer school and I stood leaning against the wall inside the courtyard of the school after an evening government class, waiting for my friend Connor. We lived only a block away from each other and often walked home together. Even though I knew I could defend myself, being a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, I was still paranoid and it was nice to have a guy to walk with through the streets in the dark.

First Post..

Hello!

Um I don't really have much to say here by way of intro (just read my profile haha).
But I will be posting little snippets of my stories soon. :) And...that's all I have to say for now :D
There will be more to come though I promise!
